Do you self-host n8n or use n8n.cloud?
Either. Self-hosting gives you a flat server cost, full control of your data, and no per-execution fees, which suits most businesses once volume grows. n8n.cloud is quicker to stand up and takes the server maintenance off your plate. We recommend the one that fits your data, budget, and appetite for maintenance, and set it up for you.
Do I get locked in if the workflows are built in n8n?
No. Because n8n is open-source and can run on your own server, the workflows are yours. If we build and hand over, you keep the n8n instance, the workflows, and the documentation, and you can run them without us. That is one of the main reasons we build on n8n rather than a closed platform.
Can n8n run AI agents, not just automations?
Yes. n8n has native nodes for the major AI providers and supports tool-calling, memory, and code, so it can run AI agents that read an email, decide what to do, draft a reply, update a system, and hand off to you only when they need to. We build both the plumbing automations and the AI agents on the same platform.
